What would jesus do?
The Kindergarten students are very proud of their accomplishments each and every day but the most important part of our day is being more like Jesus. We would like to share with you the many things we do and say throughout our day to reflect God's love for one another. Hope you enjoy reading the entries below.
supporting our friends with down syndrome
Our 40 day journey
Week of February 5th-
We continue to earn Virtue Marbles for participating in acts of kindness throughout our day. The blue team earned 5 marbles in one day. Great job, Blue Team!!!
Friendships- This week we held a few meetings to discuss friendships and how to be a good friend. We learned what it looks and sounds like- helping a friend with reading, complimenting one another, a friendly handshake or high five, and being respectful of a friend's wish to be alone during play time. We often hear 'my best friend' but we discussed how we are all friends and each one of us have something unique to share with one another. It doesn't mean one is better or more important- it simply means we are special in our own way.
Acts of kindness seen throughout the week: holding the doors open for our younger students in the school, greeting a teacher, checking on a friend who got hurt at recess, handing a classmate a tissue when they sneezed and asking them if they are feeling okay, congratulating a classmate on her accomplishment in gymnastics, clapping after each reader of the day, picking up items a classmate dropped, and carrying library books for Mrs. Malachowski.
